African/African American Health Alliance (AAAHA) has been engaging African/African American communities throughout Minnesota to reduce the disease that tobacco causes to people of African descent.  In 2010, the advisory board renamed the agency because of its work in nutrition, fitness, obesity and food health promotion. The entire scope of the organization’s vision, mission, and work is overall health promotion for black populations in Minnesota.

Making A Difference in Disparities South Region(MAD) program has over ten years of expertise in tobacco control and prevention, chronic disease education, and congregational health ministry design and implementation. The organization operates in the south region, covering five States: Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Alabama.
